 Bio:

• East Paulding High School Social Studies Teacher with 8 years experience
• Taught for five years in Cobb County Public Schools (Pope High School & Dickerson Middle School)
• Varsity High School Football Coach
• Former Boys Varsity Lacrosse Head Coach (Pope High School)
• Worked on Wall Street as an International Equities Broker for 7 years prior to becoming a teacher
• Member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church
• One beautiful liitle girl named Caitlin who will be 4 in August 

Why I'm running:

• End the de facto Carver Model mentality that exists on the current School Board in the sphere of scheduling and instruction!
• Provide parents with insight into what is actually going on in their child's classroom.
• A voice for parents and teachers who often feel ignored by administrators.
• An advocate for academic excellence that is vital for students competing in the 21st century global economy.

 Where I stand on the issues:

• Fiscal Discipline
• End block scheduling
• Return to a back-to-basics approach in K-8 education
• Restore the traditional year calandar
• Reverse new teacher attrition rates
• Reduce non-instructional duties so teachers can do what they need to do...teach!
• Push for a pay-for-performance plan to raise teacher salaries
• Opposed toSPLOST III September Special Election Vote (added cost to taxpayers: $500,000), it should've been held in the November General Election!
• Committed to ending the use of trailers as classrooms
